FRANKFURT (Thomson Financial) - EADS shareholders are to vote on the group's reorganisation of its management at an extraordinary shareholders meeting in Amsterdam on Oct 22, Financial Times Deutschland reported citing market sources.

New guidelines to monitor head injuries released

The NFL's new guidelines on concussion management include a telephone hotline that will make it easier to report to the league when a player with a head injury is being forced to practice or play against medical advice.

The league's new concussion guidelines, many of which stemmed from a conference in June involving team trainers and doctors, were formalized Tuesday and will be sent to all players and other team personnel.

They include whistle-blower provisions for individuals to report concussions with the telephone hotline and a booklet that will allow players and their families to identify symptoms.

Concussions have become an increasingly high priority for Goodell and team officials in the past year. Last spring, the commissioner announced that all players would be given baseline tests during their training camp physicals that can be used to diagnose when they have concussions.

DETROIT, Michigan -- As reported by the Crain's Detroit Business: "A meeting of the leaders of the Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians last week brought a shake-up in the management of the Greektown Casino in Detroit.

"Aaron Payment, who has been chairman of the Greektown Casino Board of Directors since 2004, has been replaced by Fred Paquin, a member of the tribal board of directors and Sault Tribal Police Chief.

"...Payment, however, claims the vote was improperly held and intends to challenge it tonight at a meeting of the tribal board.

"He said the vote was cast by the board that oversees the Greektown Casino on Thursday, not the tribal board itself. Though the casino board is made up of the 13 members of the tribal board and Beatty, Payment said three tribal board members were not present to vote at the Greektown board meeting.

Central Florida Taco Bell employees to get training after worker settles harassment suit

A male employee of a Taco Bell in Polk County, who said he was sexually harassed by a female manager, will be paid $76,050 to settle his suit, the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission has announced.

The employee of a Taco Bell in Mulberry said he had been subjected to repeated physical and verbal sexual harassment, and that he quit after management had dismissed his complaints with jokes.

The three-year consent decree settling the suit also requires Taco Bell to train all of its employees in Central Florida on its sexual harassment policies and to make semi-annual reports to the EEOC on any harassment complaints it receives.

NFL's new concussion rules include hotline to report abuses

NEW YORK -- The NFL's new guidelines on concussion management include a telephone hotline that will make it easier to report to the league when a player with a head injury is being forced to practice or play against medical advice.

The league's new concussion guidelines, many of which stemmed from a conference in June involving team trainers and doctors, were formalized Tuesday and will be sent to all players and other team personnel.

They include whistleblower provisions for individuals to report concussions with the telephone hotline and a booklet that will allow players and their families to identify symptoms.

"We want to make sure all NFL players, coaches and staff members are fully informed and take advantage of the most up-to-date information and resources as we continue to study the long-term impact of concussions," commissioner Roger Goodell said in a statement issued by the league.
